The Gordon Conference on Research at High Pressure is one of the longest running Gordon Conferences and covers a wide range of high-pressure research areas, from planetary interiors to complex small energy scale phenomena.

Traditionally the attendees of this conference have honoured a young, promising scientist conducting high pressure research with the Alvin Van Valkenburg Award. The award is named after Alvin Van Valkenburg, inventor of the diamond anvil cell and one of the most important and best-loved pioneers in the field of high pressure research.

easyLab are proud to announce their support to the Van Valkenburg Award. The recipient of this award will be given travel expenses support as well as an invited talk to present his/her work.
